Källa develops problem-solving products for gut and digestive health, based on research and designed to make a real difference in people’s everyday lives.

Founded in 2020, the company produces its products in Sweden with a strong focus on quality, functionality, and thoughtful design. Rapid growth and continued expansion across the Nordic region soon placed new demands on their logistics and packaging strategy.

Need: Reduced vulnerability and increased flexibility

When Stefan Karlsson, one of Källa’s founders, contacted Boxon in June 2022, growth had accelerated.

At that time, all packaging was sourced internationally, leading to delays, complaints and a supply chain vulnerable to disruption – a risk to continued expansion. They needed a close partner able to deliver reliably, quickly and with the capacity to offer scalable, flexible packaging solutions as volumes increased.

To meet Källa’s needs, we developed a smaller, custom box. One year later, with rising order volumes and more products entering the market, the need for a more flexible and cost-efficient e-commerce packaging solution grew.

Solution: One box for many products

After several joint meetings, we created a solution that simplified both packing and logistics processes: an e-commerce-optimised transport box designed for multiple Källa products, complemented by a range of custom inserts.

This provided Källa with:

• A unified and scalable packaging system
• Reduced vulnerability in purchasing and inventory
• Easier packing for their 3PL
• Fewer items to manage internally
• A more sustainable and material-efficient setup

As the inserts can be removed easily, the same box can also be used for products that do not require shaped protection – a solution that streamlines inventory management and reduces shipping costs.
