We are very proud to announce that Boxon Oy has won a ScanStar 2022 for the innovative BoxCor® box (Corrosion prevention box).
The idea was to use a proven method of corrosion prevention in a new way. The corrosion agent is sprayed directly inside the package, so that the metal parts placed in the box are automatically protected against corrosion. This means that the accessories inside the box no longer need to be packed separately, for example in polythene bags or paper wrappers. They also do not need to be protected by oil.
BoxCor® packaging is fully customizable and a customer-specific print can easily be added. It is also possible to design an inner packaging for the box. When stored correctly, the protection lasts for at least 24 months. The anti-corrosive is completely non-toxic and safe to use. It does not contain nitrites, phosphates or other toxic substances. After use, the cardboard can be recycled completely or reused as packaging for other products.
The jury's comments:
ScanStar is a joint Nordic packaging competition held annually since 1969 by the Scandinavian Packaging Association SPA. The competition is open to all packaging solutions designed, modified or used in the Nordic countries. The competition in 2022 was organized by the Norwegian Packaging Association.
A packaging solution that has been awarded ScanStar is entitled to participate in the international WorldStar competition organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO).
